Description
Cuticle scissors are small fine scissors with curved, thin and pointed blades. They are used to remove loose cuticles and dead skin. Cuticle scissors with a very finely ground tip, the so-called tower tip, have a particularly fine and thin blade. To prevent the highly sensitive tip from damage cuticle scissors should only be used for their intended purpose. A characteristic feature of cuticle scissors is the so-called honed edge. It is especially fine, thinly ground and mirrorfinished. Before removing cuticle skin the nail and the surrounding area should be soaked in a lukewarm emulsion of water and oil or soap. After carefully pushing back the cuticle it can be easily removed with a pair of cuticle scissors.
